We are seeking design proposals, sketches, sculptures, mock-ups, collages, and/or other creative for a large installation that will both interpret and mark the shift in the history of the Lawson Building and of Roanoke. If a winning entry is selected, it entry will be instantiated on the Lawson Building Site, or in the Building itself, and serve to permanently engage tenants and guests with the building’s history and more generally mark the transition we are hoping to manifest in Roanoke: industrial manufacturing to sustainable mixed use developments that focus on the natural environment.

The Competition is open to all and the prize is $1000. Top entries will be posted on the Lawson Building’s website and displayed in a formal exhibition.
